Another term done, today we go through all the miscellaneous leftover projects. Some of the pottery is pretty nice, but goes unclaimed for various reasons. It’s kind of like colon cleanse reviews

A lot of the pieces I can identify from the signature, and some are just at a phase where they can’t be taken home right now but the artist will be back in January to finish them. I know I have a couple of pieces on the racks in various stages of completion.

I just finished researching my speech for International Business class. Actually, one-half of my speech, the Australia half. Honduras is already mostly done, as I gave a couple of papers and speeches on Honduras in past terms. I’ll need to cut excerpts and add some INT BUS topics. Probably tomorrow.
In short, going to Australia, you might get by without insurance, but going to Honduras, you better look into short term health insurance NC
Australia looks like a much funner place.
But Honduras needs help more, so …

There is no label because I wasn’t well-prepared when I went to the UPS store. Not because I needed fitness equipment, but because the label and logo, etc was still in .ai form.
Why am I such a slacker? I didn’t even look at them to make sure they were pdf or gif, or some such.
UPS is the best place to print because they are about half the price of anywhere else and they let you pick you own file out of your own flash drive, or even email.
I really like UPS for printing.

I cleared the last couple of projects off the work bench today. Getting ready to finish that quilt before school starts again. I’m looking forward to this term and also quaking a bit because it’s the biggest credit-hour load I have taken yet. At least I found a good place to buy my textbooks in the neighborhood. I get some online, too.
The girls and I made bent wire and bead key chains or zipper pulls, or even sun catchers. I made a hanging thing out of heart-shaped rocks for a special friend. Darn, didn’t get a picture of it. I’ll have to go over there and shoot it on the porch where it hangs. Better shot anyway, than my dusty old work space.

I finally made a small enough copy of the latest project to upload here.  I ended up making the ‘Moon Silk’ letters silver before I turned it in.  I used a light part of the bottle in the eyedropper for color, added a nice drop shadow on the letters and it looks great.  Oh, and at the last minute I put small script ‘eau de parfum’ curved to fit the lable  on the right bottom.

I had great fun.  I have a lot of fun with all the art classes.

We have decided to go to Mom’s in Rocky Point for Thanksgiving, we won’t be here to do our shopping on that “black friday”  I prefer Cyber Monday anyhow.  The deals I have found on previous Thanksgiving “black friday” haven’t really been that great.  I mostly stick to the internet, and count on chance encounters with great deasl while I’m just out shopping in general.  You know, you find something that just screams “Aunt Nete for Christmas!”  and it’s really only Halloween?  I’m like that.

I get to do some advertisements for my photoshop mid-term project. I was vacillating between watches and perfume. I like the look of the ads for some e-commerce sites , and thought to emulate one of those, but found some great pictures of silk material and decided to use it as background for fictional perfume. poster looks great. I will make several more, so I can turn in a batch of three ads.
School isn’t really getting easier, but it’s getting incredibly fun. I find that I am throwing myself into the assignments so thoroughly that it’s just totally entertaining. What a bonus.
Spanish is the only one I’m not really having fun with, but I started a conversation group, and that looks to be fun, twice a week. Maybe I will learn the stuff. Not getting the best grade in that one. I’m a little worried that I might lose my HONORS status there, but if I can get a ‘B’ I can maintain the 3.75 that I need for the money. 3.5 will keep me in Honors, but not in the extra money. 3.5 will still get me other added scholarships, though.

I am making another batch of sourdough bread, this time I think bolillos, or little hoagies. They rise faster and bake faster, it’s still too hot to bake, but I’m tired of waiting for cooler temps and am doing it anyway. The bread rises really good in this heat.
I got a new recipe book the other day and can’t wait to make some of the cookie recipes in it.
It can’t stay this hot for much longer, soon I will be baking again.
School is hard!
Totally off subject, but really not, since baking relieves some of my stress. Spanish is especially tough right now, my teacher is senile, keeps repeating his stories and drifts off mid-sentence. His tests are like a children’s where’s waldo book, full of nasty tricks that have nothing to do with the knowledge of spanish, and he takes such glee in the fact that everyone in the class is fooled by it. He must think we are playing a game, but I am SO serious! Some of my money depends on getting A’s. I need at least 3.75 GPA to get some of the grants and scholarships that allow me to continue school. I have been looking into my options, seems like I can petition to the head of the department and slide over into a different class, and if things don’t change this week, that’s what I will have to do. I am studying like crazy, so I can fit into whatever level I find myself into if I switch. I don’t want to complain and then look dumb.
