Reddy found a Home of His Own

We sold Reddy the other day. The people came over looking for a blue, but the guy said he needed a GUY dog, and Reddy was giving them and their dog enough grief that he looked pretty macho. He had his hair all up in that sharp mohawk they get. All pointy ridge down his back. Looks really prehistoric.
Reddy doesn’t like strangers and his dingo was showing. The guy really took to him.
The lady got Nununda to flirt with her, but this was the guy’s dog. Her dog was the 3-yr old blue female they had. Sweet face, like Annie Oakley (Red’s mom), and pretty brown points. She ignored Reddy until she had to teach him some manners in order to keep playing frisby, he was nipping at her when she ran by. She was a great frisby dog, now smart little Reddy gets to learn frisby.
So the guy took him, they were pals by the time they left, but I lay awake all night worrying. They’d indicated that no dogs were going to sleep with them, and I know that Reddy likes to cuddle all night, so I worried. Even misted over a couple of times, there in the dark in this big old empty bed. Only my sweetie and me and four dogs in there now. ONLY.
So when I talked to Bernie, Reddy’s new mom, she said that at bedtime she looked outside and saw poor Reddy hunched over in a corner of the yard, shivering with fear. (Couldn’t be from the cold, it’s been real warm here.)
So long story short, Reddy slept in their bed all night and probably will from now on. His new daddy was curled around Reddy by morning.
Well, that just made me feel a lot better, and I slept good last night.
I finished the Reddy poster. I am looking for some faux magazine paper to print it on. I would like to enter it in the art thingy at school (where there will be cash prizes!).
Only problem, I’m not sure if it’s really art. A lot of times I figure if I could make it, it can’t be ‘real’ art. Maybe I’ll ask a teacher.
