Let’s see if the dog pictures got to where I sent them. Sometimes I lose pics in the trip from camera to desktop folder.

Yep, they made it. A lot of these are from walks in the desert at Ajo.

Ready really loves his walks, he probably needs it the most of all the dogs, as rowdy as he is.

You can’t help but get the occasional dog butt in the shots, and I apologize for that.
This inside shot is of the dogs playing around in the Phoenix living room. This is during one of Lur’s visits, they really enjoy each other.

Peanut is so photogenic! It’s hard to believe right now when it’s 104 outside, but we all need sweaters sometimes in the winter in the desert.

Hank and Fae are enjoying the cool weather, they love chasing sticks. Fae likes it when she has to swim for it, but Hank doesn’t swim well, just sinks, It’s actually hilarious. Probably the reason is, Fae has a lot of body fat to help her float, and Hank doesn’t.

Ajo arroyo dogs
The summer might finally be over, even in Ajo, lots of people were outdoors. We counted four different Bob stroller thingies, full of kids. It was that cool. I doubt if it was over ninety. I cannot hardly waitfor winter. The dogs get really long, meandering walks around the mountain preserve, alwasy on the lookout for the ‘khaki backs’ who will fine us if they see the dogs off the leash. and they’ll fine us big, too.
I’m such a scofflaw, I feel like a pretty poor example to the kids.
No, really what I think it is, is that I’m a geezer. I see it, I just can’t do anything about it.
Get your laws off my dogs!

Hank the Cow Dog
Hank and Fae really like catching sticks. Hank’s not much of a swimmer, but Fae really likes to get the stick in the water. Hank’s more of a runner, sinks when he swims.
The water holes were mostly ankle deep, but there was a couple of deep ones.

Dog Treats
1 lb. raw liver
several eggs
milk
yogurt
1 c. lard, softened or melted 5 or 6 c. whole wheat flour
In a blender, liquify the liver and eggs (shell and all). Add enough milk and yogurt to fill the blender.
Pour the resulting slurry over the flour and add the lard. Stir until it forms a thick batter.
Spread into cake pans, cookie sheets, or whatever.
Bake at 325 or 350 for an hour more or less.
You want a cornbread consistency.
Slice this and dry in the sun if you want crunchies. Freeze the chunks for a summer treat.
Since there is no preservative, you need to refrigerate at the least.
Now for the real picture of Lur in his beer ad.
It’s a cinch they will sit for this treat.

I can’t believe I just heard about fly ball. I guess it’s a sport for primarily Australian Shepherds and Australian Cattle Dogs (Heelers).
From what i understand, the dogs run a relay through a course with a ball (?).
I just contacted someone to get some info.
Now I’m going to figure out how to add stuff and show you some of these wonderful dogs I have that are just going to waste ’cause I don’t have them doing Fly Ball.
This little Reddy Kilowatt pup is about the sweetest guy I ever knew. He isn’t rowdy a bit… well, most of the time.
I’d sure like to get him the right home.
I’m hoping the Fly Ball club will introduce hime to someone who will love him and give him a good home.
