I tore up the carpet at the Ajo house. There’s a perfectly good handyman there, he needs the work because he’s on social security disability, but I thought it was going to be easy.
It wasn’t that hard, but by the time Beto and Dave carried it off to the dump for me, I was really grateful I didn’t have to touch it any more.
Carpet to the Dump
Next time I will take the shop vac and a scraper. The floors are pretty good, some stick-on tiles have to come up, but we intend to do ceramic tile all at once, and slight variations in the floor will disappear under the tile goop and tile.
Spackle is next. I’ll prep the walls next time and paint. Then the tile, and by that time Dave will be done with the bathroom the dog fence
and we can move in.
